❤️ Happy Grandparents Day from Macdonell Elementary! ❤️

Thank you to all the wonderful grandparents and family members who joined us for our Grandparents Day celebration! It was heartwarming to see so many smiles, laughter, and special moments shared across our campus.

Our students loved showing off their classrooms, playing games, and completing special hands-on activities alongside their grandparents. Thank you for filling our hallways with so much love and joy!

No student should ever feel like they have to walk alone. 💜💙, For Worldwide Su***de Prevention we brought a school-wide activity to our awesome 1st through 5th graders! We sat down with the kids to talk about the power of support systems and asked them to identify two trusted adults in their lives—one on campus and one at home. Each student wrote their trusted adults' names or drew their adults on a blue and purple leaf, which they proudly placed on our campus “trust tree”. Seeing that tree fill up with names is a beautiful, visual reminder that our kids are surrounded by love, safety, and adults who truly care. Thank you to the students, CIS coordinator, school counselor, instructional specialist, UTRGV Social Work Intern, and coaches for opening your hearts to this activity!
