The goal of the Wyoming Search & Rescue Conference (SARCON) is to bring together Wyoming’s search-and-rescue community of law-enforcement officers, SAR coordinators and volunteers, and other emergency-management professionals.

Building relationships, sharing knowledge, and growing statewide support for SAR efforts are cornerstones of this annual event.

The Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute and the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation convened the 2026 Wyoming Search and Rescue Conference (SARCON) on May 2nd, 2026, in Saratoga, WY, at the Platte Valley Community Center.

The Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit (WORS) is the state’s signature annual gathering for leaders across outdoor recreation, tourism, and hospitality.

Co-hosted by the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation and the Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute, the summit brings together industry partners, educators, policymakers, students, and community members to strengthen Wyoming’s outdoor economy through collaboration, research, and workforce development.

The Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute and the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation convened the 2026 Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit from Thursday, April 30, to Friday, May 1, at the Platte Valley Community Center in Saratoga, Wyoming.

Congratulations to all the recipients of the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Trust Fund's first round of grants!

This inaugural cycle is funding 21 projects across 15 counties, totaling $1,920,714 — supporting trail systems, accessibility upgrades, boat ramps, bridges, campground improvements, and so much more across the state.

From the Cottonwood Canyon Trail System in Big Horn to the Popo Agie River Country Garden Restoration in Wind River, these projects will strengthen outdoor recreation and tourism in communities across Wyoming for years to come.
