The Upstart Crows is a student organization at University of Wyoming that welcomes English Majors and anyone else who loves reading, writing, or even just hanging out with literature nerds. We host a variety of events throughout the year, and this year we are looking forward to movie nights, poetry readings and recitations, monthly gatherings around a fire to talk about books and just hand out, and reading to children at the Cathedral Home, among others.

Hello, English Majors,

Our English undergraduate organization, the Upstart Crows, will have a dinner at my place, this Saturday Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. The event is for us to socialize and celebrate the semester as well as to plan two or three events for the rest of the Spring. I am also inviting faculty from the English department to come, in hopes of having a great faculty-student social dynamic to complement our more familiar academic conversations.

English majors and minors interested in the Upstart Crows are all welcome even if you haven't been in the group before.

Hello Crows! I am thinking that we should do the Graveyard Poetry Reading soon before it gets too frigid! I was thinking maybe Sunday the 13th or Thursday the 17th. I will nail down their hours before the Oct. 4th meeting, but I would love feedback on these dates or ideas for alternate dates to get the ball rolling. Thanks!
