🎉 Lansing Reads Together: Community Literacy Kickoff 🎉

This event was created to bring children, families, and the community together for a fun-filled celebration of reading, learning, and opportunity!

📅 Saturday, August 8, 2026
⏰ 11:00 AM–2:00 PM
📍 Epicenter of Worship
517 W. Jolly Road, Lansing, MI

Families will enjoy:

📚 Free books for children.
📖 Fun and engaging storytime sessions.
✏️ Family-friendly literacy activities.
🛂 The launch of our Literacy Passport Program.
🤝 Community connections and opportunities to get involved.
🎉 Fun for the entire family.

I have been working hard behind the scenes to bring this vision to life, and I cannot wait to share this special day with the Greater Lansing community!

This is only the beginning, and I am so excited about what GrowthMindset is building for our children and families.

Admission is FREE, but registration is highly encouraged. ONLY 100 💯 slot available!!

As we honor Memorial Day, GrowthMindset encourages our community to never forget the powerful role African Americans played in the origins of this day of remembrance.

Following the Civil War, formerly enslaved African Americans helped recover and bury fallen soldiers with dignity and respect. They dug trenches, provided proper burials, planted flowers upon graves, and honored the dead through song, prayer, and celebration of life. These acts of humanity and reverence helped lay the foundation for what we now recognize as Memorial Day.

Today, we honor all men and women who served and sacrificed for our nation. May we continue to remember the history, the courage, and the lives that made freedom.

Exciting News! 📰 GrowthMindset’s First Community Event is Here! 📚

March is Reading Month, and I’m beyond excited to announce GrowthMindset’s first-ever community event—our Book Drive & Giveaway!

This is a huge milestone for me as I officially launch my business, GrowthMindset, with a mission to empower students and transform communities through education.

From March 1 – April 7, we’re collecting new books for Pre-K to 12th grade. Then, on April 26, we’ll be giving them away to students who need them most!

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, this moment is even more special—stepping into my purpose as an educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for lifelong learning.
