🌟 Thank You, Community Partners & Volunteers! 🌟

Inspired by a message shared by PEA Chavonne Chase.

Today, G. James Gholson Middle School had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the community partners and volunteers who have supported students, families, and staff throughout the school year.

From donating resources and sponsoring events to volunteering time, mentoring students, and lending a helping hand whenever needed, these partnerships have helped strengthen the school community and create meaningful opportunities for students and families.

Their generosity, dedication, and commitment continue to make a lasting impact. Because of their support, families have access to valuable resources, students have opportunities to grow and succeed, and the school community continues to thrive.

Thank you to every community partner and volunteer who has invested in the success of Gholson students. Your service, partnership, and unwavering support are truly appreciated.

💙💛 Together, we are making a difference—one student, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

💙⚔️💛

This past week, Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center celebrated the incredible parents and family members who generously volunteer their time to support their students, staff, and school community.
The Annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch was catered by Three Brothers in Greenbelt, and they were honored to provide special gifts from local small businesses. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sheila Jackson, Director of Family & Community Partnerships, for donating more than 40 bags filled with reading and math resources for their preschool families.

This year, PEA Laura Martinez has worked alongside more than 40 parents, providing workshops, nutrition classes, family engagement opportunities, and advocacy support. Through the collaborative efforts of Laura and Principal [Principal Lauri Hay, families have had meaningful opportunities to volunteer weekly in their building and actively support student learning.

Strong schools are built on strong partnerships. Thank you to every volunteer who has shared their time, talents, and commitment with our school community. Your impact is felt every day.

A big thank you to PEA Rosa Fenwick for sharing the Popeyes Poppy’s Book Club coupons with our students!

Ms. Heber’s 3rd grade class at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School is hard at work reading chapter books and earning coupons through the program. 📚✨

We love seeing students motivated to read, and we’re especially grateful for community partnerships that help make learning even more rewarding. Thank you to businesses like Popeyes that support literacy and invest in our children’s success.

Together, we are building strong readers and stronger communities! ❤️📖
