Linda Barton was an absolute blessing to our community. From her years building Lights On and her term on the school board, to education around civic engagement and voting rights, she made a difference to our entire state.
If Linda had an impact on your life, please join us on June 7th to celebrate her legacy.
Linda truly loved Lander, Fremont County, and Wyoming.
The world is a little emptier without her but only because she brought SO much impact with everything she did.

While it's easy for some of us to focus on the fact that the devastating effects of recalibration weren't secret, it's essential that we not fall into the feeling that we can't do anything about it.
We can't go back and change what has happened already, but we can move forward.
π Contact the recalibration committee and tell them how these changes affect our kids.
π STUDENTS should contact the recalibration committee (emails will be listed in comments)
π Speak to your local school board and ask what they can do. Some have reserve funds that can be allocated to keep activities, others don't.
πΊπΈ Write letters to the editor and send them to your local papers AND Cowboy State Daily. Be clear about how these cuts affect real students.
πΊπΈ VOTE. The recalibration committee is heavily stacked with Freedom Caucus members who consistently show disregard for how their policies cause harm.
πΊπΈ August 18th is the primary election. That's the one that matters.
