What Really Happens to S***m After COVID-19?

When COVID-19 hit, most of us worried about our lungs—not our fertility.
But new research from Tianjin University in China reveals a surprising twist:
COVID-19 temporarily cuts s***m count in half and slows motility—but recovery happens within 3–5 months.

💡 Here’s what the study found:
➡️ S***m concentration dropped from ~79 million to ~39 million per milliliter one month after infection.
➡️ Motility—the s***m’s ability to swim—also took a major hit.
➡️ Most men regained nearly full fertility within half a year.

And here’s the reassuring part—no long-term damage to mental health or sexual function was found.
The body bounces back.

🩺 Why it matters:
In regions where fertility care is limited, these findings give couples hope—and a realistic timeline. If you’ve had COVID-19, it might just take a little patience before everything returns to normal.
