Yesterday, we kicked off our very first “What Will It Be Wednesday?” to celebrate the beginning of the football season and WOW, our Wildcats (and staff!) definitely had some strong opinions when it came to repping their favorite football teams!

As students entered the building, they had the chance if they chose to, to cast their vote and help us graph ‘Which Team Is Your Favorite?’ The excitement and friendly competitive banter over whose team would come out on top was great to hear!

With a total of 97 votes, it’s safe to say that the Philadelphia Eagles are officially the #1 most beloved football team at Wharton!

• #3: Dallas Cowboys
• Tied for #4: Baltimore Ravens & Buffalo Bills

We’re excited to see how these teams, and ALL of the teams our Wildcats love, do throughout the season! Let the football fun begin!

Power Packs are back! Beginning Wednesday, September 16, Power Packs will be delivered to the school each week. Families who sign up for the program will pick up the boxes at dismissal each Wednesday. Students who take the bus will receive the pack at school and take it on the bus.

What's in a Power Pack?
- A low-cost, easy to prepare, and nutritious recipe
- All the ingredients to make the recipe
-Tips on nutrition, budgeting, and food preparation
- Extra pantry staples to help families thrive

Families must sign up again to receive the Power Packs, even if you’ve received Power Packs in the past. Registration is here: https://app.pantrysoft.com/login/powerpacksproject

If you need help registering, call 717‑517‑9220 and the Power Packs team will help!

Families will also need to fill out a self-declaration of income form to continue receiving the Power Pack. The form will be available at the first Power Pack distribution.

Because our district is part of Title 1, all families in the School District of Lancaster are eligible for Power Packs, regardless of income. If a family’s income is higher than what is usually allowed for food assistance, the family just needs to disclose their approximate income on a self-declaration of income form.
