📢 New Workshop Announcement! 🎉
Join us for the Privy Bag Workshop! Class size is limited, so reserve your spot today! littlehaus-lancaster.com/classes
The privy bag is Lancaster County’s humble yet fascinating contribution to Pennsylvania German folk art. In this workshop, you’ll not only learn the rich history behind the bag but also immerse yourself in the art of 19th-century quilting.
By the end of the class, you’ll have created a piece that can be used in many ways today, all while carrying a history that will spark curiosity and conversation for years to come.

Kitchen is not yet complete. Still waiting on appliances to come in but can’t help but give you a sneak peak at the kitchen’s new soapstone counter and sink. We also added an expertly crafted ship lap backsplash.

A lot has been going on at the little haus, most of which will never be known aside from those of us participating in this restoration. Here are pics of the 1st floor hallway start to finish. Paint scraped from walls, cracks fixed, then walls, woodwork and floors repainted.

Following the admission of a state to the Union, a star was added to the American flag. The flag with its new star(s) always became official on July 4th. Today this July 4, 2024, a flag flies in all its glory on the little haus as it may have 200 years ago. With 24 stars it represents the flag of its time flying 1822-1836. Many thanks to my friends J,J & T for this beautiful gift.
