Hello my friends, it's been awhile, but I am realizing I still have so much to share with families. Although in a much smaller way, I am still a Kindermusik educator at heart and continue to teach weekly classes online through Grow and Sing Studios, and am open to sharing in other ways. I hope you enjoy the stories I'll be reading for you, as well as the stories of musical magical parenting.

FREE ONLINE RESOURCE RECOMMENDATION: Need help with teaching your child executive function skills (breaking down tasks, planning, follow-through, intrinsic motivation & more)? Training these skills can start earlier than you may believe possible, and experimenting with a variety of strategies can help your child (and maybe even yourself) discover and USE what works for each person uniquely. This is especially great for children who have ADHD, and now is a good time to gain these strategies as the new school year begins.

Over the past 4 years, I have attended THE EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING ONLINE SUMMIT (TEFOS), and gained so much knowledge, perspective, hands-on things to try, and needed skills for me and my children. I cannot say enough positive things about the amazing Seth Perler and the specialists in these fields that he interviews for these video sessions. Theses sessions are FREE to watch on August 5-7, and if you want to gain access to ALL of the videos for life for a small fee so you can watch them at your leisure, and repeatedly. I have purchased access to the videos and extras each year, and this resource is absolutely worth it if these are skills your child is struggling with at any age.

Even if you don't take advantage of this summit, find Seth Perler on YouTube and you will find the most gentle caring soul, who overcame his own struggles and found his life mission in helping children, families, teachers, and schools who struggle learning/teaching these skills. He is constantly learning from specialists, and shares what he learns consistently over time through his videos and this summit. Honestly, listening to him just calms me down and helps me think more clearly.

Have you been enjoying all the new music on the Kindermusik APP. Your child may also develop their sound discrimination and steady beat by choosing from a variety of the digital instrument options and playing along. The newest addition is a few books to read or listen to while you both engage with the pictures. This is all part of the upgraded APP that is available for FREE to everyone on any mobile device.

Families who have enrolled in any of my Kindermusik programs over the last few years have been able to add new albums for each unit.. NOW, Kindermusik International is making some changes for enrolled families, but since I'm not teaching in the near future, previous Kindermusik families need to act quickly to save access to their music and more. Please see the next post, or the email that was sent.

By July 31, you will need to log on to your my.kindermusik.com account to DOWNLOAD each of your albums (and more) onto your own computer. You should also have an email from me with more details.
