Polk State College- Students Working for Equal Rights

SWER is a youth-led organization that advocates for the immigrant rights, particularly immigrant youth in Florida.

There are chapters across the state, both campus and community based. Polk State College's SWER chapter was founded by Mayra Hidalgo in 2010 due to an evident need on the campus and in the community for an immigrant youth organization.
