United Way of Central Florida is celebrating 30 years of Success By 6 with 30 days of reading. Join their Summer Read-A-Thon to keep your kids reading this summer while supporting programs aimed at providing children in our community with the learning resources they need to grow and thrive.
The first 100 participants to register will receive a free pizza courtesy of Little Caesars*, and the first 500 will receive a free Tadpole Mini Treat courtesy of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice! Each participant will also be entered for a chance to win additional prizes** including:

Join us this Friday, April 25th at 10 am for our monthly ASD Support Group at the CJB United Way Children’s Resource Center. Rebecca Sumner, M.Ed, Assist. Principal at Pathways School of Excellence, SEU will be our guest presenter. We will also be sharing resources and services in our community for ASD families. This is a great place to share, support and encourage other families on a similar journey.

Polk County Public Schools is once again offering a free summer program specifically designed for incoming kindergartners.
Camp Early Bird will be held from June 4-26. This free program is being hosted at specific elementary schools in Polk County.
The summer camp is available to incoming kindergarten students enrolling in a PCPS elementary school. Our certified teachers will use fun activities and learning experiences to prepare these soon-to-be kindergarteners for success in the classroom and beyond.
Students must have their own transportation to the camp. Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge for all students.
Parents must register their children online. Registration will open on Wednesday, April 16 at 8 a.m.

Applications for PCPS Early Childhood programs will go live on Monday, Jan. 27.
Beginning Monday, parents can apply for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Title I pre-K and Head Start for the 2025-26 school year.
Applications will be available online through polkschoolsfl.com/earlychildhood. Once your application has been submitted, PCPS staff will contact you to complete the process.
