Just hours after attending the honor walk of a close friend whose life was tragically cut short, Cody Wexler took the mound for Park Vista High School's district championship game. Wexler was one of the top aces in Palm Beach County this season, compiling an 8-1 record with a 0.81 ERA.
For his resilience, perseverance and leadership, Wexler receive the Courage Award at the Palm Beach Post High School Sports Awards Show.
Palm Beach State College was honored to sponsor the Courage Award for the third consecutive year with PBSC’s Men’s Basketball Head Coach Tae Norwood presenting the award.
Congratulations to Wexler and all the outstanding student-athletes recognized for their achievements. We were also proud to connect with Palm Beach County's top student athletes and future Panthers, sharing how PBSC empowers them to chase their dreams on the field, in the classroom and beyond.

The Student Learning Center at the Loxahatchee Groves campus recently celebrated the completion of a remodel focused on creating a more welcoming and sound-friendly environment for our students.
The updated space supports learning, collaboration and connection while providing students with access to valuable academic resources.
Special thanks to Barbie Edgar, SLC manager, and everyone who helped make this transformation possible. We encourage students to stop by, explore the refreshed space and take advantage of the support services available at Loxahatchee Groves and all the other campuses.

Palm Beach State College named its new Dental and Health Innovation building at the Dennis P. Gallon Campus in Loxahatchee Groves in honor of alumni Julie and John Kime, recognizing their decades of generosity and support of the college.
"Our hope is simple: that when students walk into the building, they feel welcome, they feel safe, they feel inspired and they know that someone believes in them," Julie Kime said.
After long and successful careers in the insurance industry, the Kimes have continued to invest in their community and in the next generation of PBSC students.
“Their commitment reflects what we value most at PBSC: when you invest in students, you invest in the future of our entire community," said PBSC President Ava L. Parker, J.D.
