Cast your vote! Palm Beach State College is a finalist for the People's Choice Award in the Statewide Welding and Fabrication Challenge!
Support our team of 11 welding students who spent more than three weeks to complete the statue, totaling about 350 hours of work.
To vote, click on the Florida Department of Education post below and like the photo of βForged Freedom,β a sculpture that stands 7 feet, 7 inches tall, spans about 6 feet wide and weighs 325 pounds.

Palm Beach State College proudly welcomed more than 200 students to the Lake Worth campus today for the start of the NextGen Summer Bridge Program, which runs through June 18.
Participants also attended an alumni panel titled, "I've Walked a Few Days in Your Shoes." The discussion provided students with valuable perspectives from PBSC alumni who shared their experiences navigating college and achieving their academic goals.
Designed for high school graduates and first-generation students, the two-week program helps participants build confidence, connect with campus resources and develop the skills needed for success in higher education.
