20+ years experienced childcare provider, having fun while teaching everyday life skillsets through play, development and milestone achievements, cooking, crafting, academics, nature/gardening, science, basic age-appropriate household responsibilities. All of my work has been generated through referrals only- but I recognize the way of the future, and that means having some sort of social media referencing some of my work 😊. I’m a young spirited, full time mama/childcare provider and still trying to figure out how I just turned 39 🤔. My husband and I have been in Lake Forest for about 16 years. We have a beautiful, smart and talented 15 year old daughter, and an energetic, very sweet 5 year old son. We decided to expand our family while my brother in law was battling inoperable stage 4 cancer. I’m honored to say, he is alive and completely cancer free for 5 years now 🙌🏼. I’ve been caring for children since I was just a kid myself. Back in the babysitters club days. The joy that I felt while putting smiles on those little faces melted my heart and gave me purpose. I started my childcare profession 23 years ago. It was then that I knew exactly what I was called to do in life. 16 years old, and working full time, caring for a sweet 4 year old little girl. Since then, and in addition to childcare, I’ve worked in retail, and held a desk job for a few years, ultimately leading me back to where I knew I needed and wanted to be. At 23, we had our daughter. I became an in home nanny, and was truly blessed with the opportunity to remain a full time mom, and get paid doing what I love to do. In 2015, I transitioned from a full time nanny, to working out of my home and providing in home childcare. This allowed me to create and build a structured intimate learning environment, caring for just a few kiddos at any given time, and dedicating my time and attention equally. I naturally gravitated towards the learn through play technique while sprinkling in craft time, and age appropriate curriculum and activities. A few examples are: infant growth milestones (crawling, walking, talking, eating, basic baby sign language), potty training, letter & number recognition, colors, shapes, manners, and basic every day functionalities for growth, development, and skill sets to just be a kind human being 😊. In addition to affordable and flexible rates, I provide breakfast, lunch, and and a variety of healthy snacks throughout the day. My goal is to provide long term childcare that will help establish and maintain a structured routine for both myself and the kiddos that I care for. When I’m caring for your child, you can expect your little one to be cared for, nurtured, and loved in the same ways that I do for my own children. Outside of my own children, my experience ranges from newborn to early teenage years. My specialty has to be the toddler years. There is just something about those curious little minds that make my heart smile. I’m happy to provide references upon request and would encourage you to reach out to as many as you’d like.
