Friends for Students of LC Schools

Friends for Students of LC Schools Friends for Students of LC Schools, is a group who have come together annoyomously to help with donations to students in the Lake City Schools.

It all started late in the 2011/2012 school year, when I had seen a kindergartener in the hallway without any socks on. I asked her if they got wet @ recess and she said she didn't have enough at home for all week. =( That hit the heart strings. After telling this to friends and family, it was decided something needed to be done. Friends for Students of LC Schools was started. We are an annoyom

ous group that realize there is a need for helping students and teachers in our community. If a student, teacher, or classroom is in need of something, I will be told of the product and any necessary sizes. I will then email the group or post on Facebook of the requested items. The NEW items purchased can be dropped off at Ardis Missaukee Library. Thank you to all the adopters and sponsors this Christmas, it’s because of you and the students this adopt a student continues. I almost cancelled this year program due to my health and chronic pain, but I couldn’t. Too many adults love this program for shopping and sharing the spirit of giving; and too many students have wishes.

So once again Friends, we’ve done it again. The spirit of Christmas has arrived and all the gifts and dinner will be delivered tomorrow to the families.

A special thank you going out to Advisacare Home Health and Hospice for your HUGE donation of coats, snowpants, hats and gloves to the Elementary school. Many students will be kept warm on the winter days ahead thanks to your donation!

Adopters - this is your reminder all gifts need to be wrapped with your student ID # clearly on all packages. Gifts need to be to the library on December 16th. Deliveries to the families will be on the school half day December 19th.

Thank you to Roger's for donating the hams for Christmas Dinner, making the dinner boxes up and now helping deliver the boxes to the "Elf Station" in town. WE appreciate you ROGERS being her in our little town and all the support you give to this community!!

I will keep posted if I need volunteers for deliveries as I am going over things now.

**REQUEST**
GLOVES AND MITTENS are needed for the elementary students. Many little hands need the comfort of warmth and being dry while playing outside and if they are waiting for the bus.

Donations can be dropped off in our bin at Ardis Missaukee District Library on Canal Street.
