The For a Better Bayou Internship is a paid, hands-on opportunity for high school seniors and college students who are passionate about community organizing, environmental justice, and civic engagement in Southwest Louisiana.
Interns work directly with community members and organizational leadership to support campaigns addressing industrial pollution, public health, climate resilience, and environmental equity.
Participants build practical skills in outreach, research, communications, and advocacy while gaining real-world experience in grassroots organizing. With flexible scheduling, mentorship, and meaningful responsibilities, this internship empowers young people to grow as leaders while helping protect the health and future of their communities.
