North Chicago Community Partners Strengthening communities through schools since 2008. Facilitator, coordinator, matchmaker, strategic partner.

North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP) wears a variety of hats as we walk alongside the public school district of North Chicago. NCCP functions with the realization that public education in under-resourced communities, like North Chicago, truly cannot operate without external supports. Through our ‘community school model,’ we wrap-around our district, our faculty and staff, our students and families and our physical spaces to bring needed services and supports into our schools and to make education the center of our community. NCCP was founded in 2008 by the Gorter Family Foundation in direct response to the lack of outside support for the academic challenges facing the children of North Chicago. Ultimately, NCCP is determined to move the needle on education in North Chicago to provide greater opportunities for our children and future leaders.
