Senior Parents,

We met with Seniors Yesterday and they should have brought home a packet from Jostens. Jostens is the company that supplies our Cap & Gowns. They will have representatives on campus next Tuesday, Aug. 25 during FLEX and students will be able to start purchasing their Cap & Gowns and any other graduation packages at that time.

***Students are REQUIRED to order the following for graduation***
Cap, Gown and Tassel Unit: $57.00(Plus Tax) It is also circled on the attached picture.

All three of the extra packages include the Cap, Gown and Tassel unit but contain extra items and are more expensive. If you order the Cap, Gown and Tassel unit after Christmas Break the price will rise.

ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE TO JOSTENS. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS TO DISCOVERY HIGH SCHOOL.

Join us to learn how to stay connected and better support your student. As a token of our appreciation, one student will be selected to receive a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card. Students are not allowed to be dropped off on campus until 7:10. School starts at 7:35 for students. Please make sure that you plan accordingly.

Spartan Families:

We have seen an increase in the number of students possessing or wearing Meta/Ray-Ban smart glasses, and similar wearable electronic devices in school.

This is to inform you that students may not wear or use smart glasses, or similar smart/wearable recording or communication devices during the school day.

Many of these devices can photograph, record audio or video, livestream, communicate with others, access information, or transmit content without those nearby being aware, or even consenting to being recorded.

We are prohibiting these devices in an effort to protect student privacy, ensure a safe learning environment, and minimize classroom disruptions.
