We had the honor of interviewing Dave Min from the California State Senate for our fourth installment of Port Productions. Thank you so much to Dave and his office for answering all of our questions. Hosts Piper Johnson and Miwako Miki asked Dave about his reason for being passionate about water and all of the work he has done to be an advocate for the water around us. MEET EJ GOMEZ ✨
EJ Gomez is the new Teen Services Director for The Port Teen Center! He has been a Laguna Beach local for the majority of his life and was a Club member since the first grade. His favorite memory as a Club member was participating in the Boys & Girls Club Travel Basketball League against other Clubs across Orange County and his current favorite memory as The Port/the Club staff member is playing paintball with the teens. EJ loves to stay active inside and outside of The Port from teaching Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)/self-defense to coaching basketball to camping in the wilderness. Some programs EJ wants to have at The Port are advanced basketball clinics, beginners self-defense classes, skim boarding, culinary competitions, and so much more! He also wants to bring back adventurous field trips like zip-lining, indoor rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding at Big Bear, a day trip to Catalina Island, etc. Have any ideas for him? Let him know! Who is excited to see what’s in store for The Port this upcoming school year? 😎
