The One, The Only……
Dr. Kiara Tookes-Williams‼️‼️
Kiara just recently defended her dissertation and is now Dr. Tookes-Williams‼️‼️‼️
Dr. Tookes-Williams dissertation was entitled: The Weight of Success: Exploring the Evolution and Diminishment of the Superwoman’s Schema among Black Women with Advanced Degrees🔥🔥🔥
Program Coordinator Dr. Justin Muller said, “I can truly say that I was overjoyed when I first heard this news. My happiness for Dr. Tookes-Williams is not just because she obtained her doctorate degree, which is a tremendous feat itself, but it’s also because of the type of person she is. Dr. Tookes-Williams is selfless and always seeks to help other people. While in our program, she was a tremendous Graduate Assistant where she served all of the CMHC Faculty and ensured that we were always on point. As a student, she cared about her classmates and was always supportive of her class of 2023 cohort members. Lastly, Dr. Tookes-Williams has continued to support undergraduate students at LaGrange College in the Black Student Union and Black Girl Magic.”
Dr. Muller continued by saying, “As a scholar, I saw in the program Dr. Tookes-Williams heart for research as I had the pleasure of collaborating with her at the 2023 Online Social Justice Conference where we gave a presentation entitled: Black Love: Systemic Approaches to Working with Black Couples in Therapy. In 2022, I collaborated with Dr. Tookes-Williams at the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia 2022 Conference on a presentation entitled: Systemic Empowerment of Black Males. Dr. Tookes-Williams dissertation topic is one of great importance as there is much needed support and exploration of the Superwoman’s Schema. I believe Dr. Tookes-Williams research is going to help many women who carry a countless number of responsibilities and obligations.”
Dr. Muller concluded by saying, “Congratulations again Dr. Tookes-Williams and I’m so excited to now call one of the best to ever come from LaGrange College, DOCTOR! To God be the Glory!”
