Building the future of electric vehicles! Club EV (electric vehicle) is a student run organization at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, Indiana.
The purpose of the organization is to promote the use of alternative energy. Every spring Club EV races a fully electric go kart at Purdue's Ev Grand Prix as well as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The kart's power system is completely designed and built by Ivy Tech students.

Update for 2012! The team is in the process of revamping the kart's power system for this spring. We are getting a new motor, bigger wiring, and lighter materials! We have set our goals high for this semester hoping to take home all three checkered flags this spring at Purdue and the Indianapolis motor speedway races.Through the innovation and vision of hard working Ivy Tech students we are moving ahead!
