🦖 We had a ROAR-ing good time visiting Prairie Elementary's Summer Reading Program! We joined incoming pre-k students for a song, story time, and activities all inspired by a dino theme: "Unearth a Good Story! Reading Never Goes Extinct!"

Happy Talk kicked off the day's festivities with a song and rainbow scarf activity.

To go along with the fun, we created a FREE parent handout packed with easy, play-based ideas you can use at home to encourage your child's communication skills.

🦕 Comment "ROAR" below, and I'll send you a copy!

Thanks to Mrs. Brown, the librarian, for having us!

Even though we've read this book countless times, someone has been OBSESSED with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" lately. 🐛📖

One thing we've been loving this summer is reading a physical book while listening to an audio version on sites like YouTube Kids (with the phone or table screen turned off). This allow us to hear the book being acted out, which provides a more engaging version.

Check out his rainbow caterpillar we use to act out the story while we listen!😂

What are you little ones preferring lately? Audiobooks, or having you read instead?

We are LEAPING into summer! ☀️ Officially saying "Yes" to:

- More songs and games🎶
- More outdoor play (with plenty of water, bubbles, and chalk) 💦
- Later bedtimes 😴
- More quality time as a family! ❤️

Here at Happy Talk, we teach you how to take activities from your everyday life and use them as a blueprint to enhance family connection and encourage speech and language development! ✨

If you're interested in joining us for a mini summer session (3-4 classes), make sure to join our email list to keep in touch!
