This is child-led play. 💛
The scarves were a hit at our recent pop-up class! We were ready to move on, but then, a little friend requested an additional, different scarf song.
So we pivoted.
And guess what happened?
More engagement: The kids all stayed in one area, and they followed the directions from the song!
More JOY: The kids (and parents) loved it!
Although our Happy Talk classes have an “agenda", I will always try my best to be flexible and follow the child's lead — because that’s when learning becomes meaningful.
Connection first. Then communication will come. 💛
