Let's Catch Up!
So much good to share!
We recognized and celebrated our office professionals Janelle, Roxanne, Erin and Victoria, our assistant principal Mr. Egrubay, all of our paraeducators and cooked pizzas for our teachers. Thank you for all you do for our community.
Our 7th graders went to the Nisqually Tribal Center. Students got to learn about a variety of topics from beading and medicine pouch making, to land and water management, and how the tribal government system works. It was an awesome collaboration between our district and the Nisqually community.
Mr. Thomas has been taking his students on engaging horticulture field trips this year and continues to search for ways to get students out of the building learning about all manner of topics in horticulture. This latest field trip was to learn about tulips at Envision.
We even had a few teachers take a group of students to Italy over Spring Break!
Ms. Lane welcomed a team from TCSO to teach her students about different capacities and programs within their department. It was a beautiful day with many hands on opportunities for students to learn about law enforcement and forensics.
We took our AVID students to the University of Washington campus for a college tour. It was wonderful to hear their questions and see them in awe of the campus and what college life may hold for them some day.
We completed state testing!
We did a McTeacher's night to raise funds for our ASB at McDonald's last Wednesday! Mr. Crane said it was great to reconnect with his old college roommate (Grimace), but even more great to raise money for our student activities.
Mrs. Rumbaugh and Ms. Aimoto put together an awesome mock trial in class. Students presented for the prosecution and defense and a jury of adults got to decide the verdict.
We celebrated our HSLS athletes as they returned from the day of champions where they competed in track and field events and represented Salish!
So much good happening here in Raven Nation!!
