Life keeps going🪽

That’s THE Biggest lesson I’ve learned this year💜

As a childcare owner, director, and someone who genuinely loves children, I spend my days pouring into others. I care for little hearts, encourage families, put out fires, and show up with a smile. But after losing my mom, I’ve realized something important, while I’m taking care of everyone else, who’s taking care of ME?

Grief is real. Some days I’m strong, and some days I’m simply surviving. I’m still processing. I’m still hurting. I still miss my mom every single day. My children have made sacrifices too. There have been times, they’ve had to share me because I’ve been so committed to serving other families. Running a business and carrying grief at the same time is hard.

But despite it all, I keep showing up. Not because the pain is gone, but because I love what I do. I love the children and families who trust me. And I appreciate the people who continue to show up for me, even when I don’t have the strength to show up for myself.

So today, I give myself grace, because grief doesn’t have a timeline 💜

We beat the odds baby!

Six years ago, I opened Little Journey Preschool with a dream, determination, and a whole lot of faith. It hasn’t been easy, but every challenge, sacrifice, and late night has been worth it.
This anniversary feels different because it’s my first one without my mom. My biggest supporter and one of the people who believed in this vision from the very beginning.

But Little Journey Preschool was never just about me or us. It was about Legacy. Family. Impact. Love. Quality. Education. It was about showing children what is possible and creating something that would outlive us.

I’ve always said I don’t want my children to be like me, I want them to be better than me. That’s what growth is. That’s what evolution is.

That’s why I’m excited for what’s next.
A new chapter is coming, and it’s rooted in everything she helped me build.

Ava girl… where do I even begin? 🎓💖

Little Miss Diva, with the BIGGEST personality, so much s***k, confidence, and sass all wrapped into one. One thing about Ava… she is NOT going to bite her tongue 😂 If she needs a play-by-play of the schedule, honey she’s going to ask! IYKYK 🤭

You would truly think she runs LJP sometimes because of how she carries herself like a boss around here 💕 From leading classroom discussions to always volunteering to answer questions, modeling activities, and completing her work, Ava takes so much pride in doing her best and getting things right. She loves to excel and it shows.

And baby let’s not forget… this girl LOVES to dance and perform! Ava will definitely be the lead dancer of any girl group. She takes every school celebration seriously and always comes ready to have a GOOD time ✨

You have become much more than a student to me, you are family. From birthdays to playdates, our bond has extended far beyond the classroom walls.

Ava, your personality is truly unmatched, and I already know you are going to go so far in life simply because of the light you carry and the confidence you walk in. Continue being fearless, outspoken, kind, and unapologetically YOU 💕

My little fashionista, always serving looks and attitude 💅🏽. You’ve have the biggest personality and so much energy. You have no problem speaking up for yourself, and while you are the sweetest, you can get feisty in a minute. A true girly girly with such a loving heart.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 4 years since, I met you at my very first open house at the center. Watching you grow from a tiny toddler into this bright, confident little girl has been such a beautiful journey. I remember when you couldn’t let go of your pacifier and how you loved your baby dolls and they just had to come to school every single day. My little picky eater who would rather mix up her food and play in her plate than actually eat it 😂.

Over the years, I’ve watched your superstar personality truly blossom. You love making new friends, but you and Ava are absolutely inseparable. It has been such a privilege watching your friendship grow and bloom.

Nori, I am so proud of how hard you’ve worked and how much you’ve learned. You never give up and are always determined to learn something new. Watching you grow into the smart, confident, and beautiful little girl you are today has meant so much to me.

Kindergarten is gaining such a special little light, and I know you are going to shine wherever you go. I love you so much and will always be proud of you. 💕✨
