Create With Rae

Looking back over the years, I have had many plans/dreams/hopes. But I never thought I'd be preparing my own booth to showcase my doodles and creations at an art walk! The things I used to do as a kid (like sketching on notes so I'd focus in class, or creating my own fonts because I was bored) are now something that is blossoming into so much more.

I'm looking forward to being one of the artists at 's 2nd annual Art Walk tomorrow!

Come on out to Main Street between 6pm-9pm and see what myself and other local artists have created!

Had the pleasure of doing a custom order of hand painted jeans for the cutest little dancers at . Their competition is just 2 weeks away, and I can't wait to see them steal those judges hearts!

One of my coworkers .marie03 asked me to upgrade this ceramic pencil holder she bought at a garage sale. It was handmade, yellow, and needed a fresh paint job to give it new life. So I grabbed my spray paint, glitter, more spray paint, and craft paint, and had some fun!

Looking back on July 2019.

These days, I am un-learning and re-learning what ministry really means. This journey with the Lord since that day 6 years ago has definitely been giving Eccelisates, and Phillipians 2:13 amp "For it is [not your strength, but it is God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure."

Not knowing a pandemic would come, and bring forth huge challenges, yet open a pathway to the most organic and authentic journey with the Lord I've ever walked on. Sometimes I look back to reflect, wonder, and think on some deep things. But I do so, trusting the Lord to continue to guide me wherever He intends for me to go.

So my prayer remains...

Lord, wherever you desire for me to go, send me. Let you be seen when they see me. Let you be heard when I speak. Let you be experienced in every encounter I have. And search my heart to remove anything unlike you, to make room for more of you.

Our Sugar Plum turns 14 in a few days, and since she's obsessed with 90s-00s culture, is a huge fan of the 90s slasher film genre, and loves the franchise, I made us all custom shirts for our movie night to see the reboot!

Everyone unwinds/brain dumps/de-stresses differently. Me, I pray, I write, I draw, I paint. Whatever my soul needs at the time...I let Holy Spirit lead me to the proper medicine at the right time.
