🌱🐦‍🔥New Scholar Orientation (NSO) has truly become a tradition!

🔥 NEW SCHOLAR ORIENTATION 2026 = COMPLETE!

Today our newest Phoenixes walked through the doors for the very first time — and they showed UP. ✨

They met their peers, learned The PISOTA Way, set SMART goals, built (and rebuilt 😅) with design thinking, and cracked the code on those combination locks. 🔓 PISOTA crests designed, Cornell Notes conquered, new friendships made.

Scholars, you didn’t just visit a school today. You joined a FAMILY. 💙❤️💛

We want to give a special shout out to our returning scholars from National Junior Honors Society who volunteered as guides for NSO today. You made the experience so special! Thank you, Mrs. Blakeley, for coordinating our scholar volunteers.

DAY 2: ROOTED IN INNOVATION🌱💡

Rotation day at PISOTA! Our educators moved through the R.I.S.E. Learning Labs — building safe classrooms where scholars thrive, elevating thinking through academic discourse, partnering for powerful instruction, and using data to reflect, respond, and improve.

Laptops open. Notes flying. Real conversations about real practice. 💻✍🏽

And when the labs wrapped, the work kept going — desks arranged, paint going up, materials sorted, every room being shaped into a space where scholars will feel seen and challenged from minute one. 🎨📚

We’re a small, but mighty team and this is what innovation actually looks like: new and seasoned educators still choosing to learn, still choosing to grow, still choosing our scholars.

Two days in and Team Phoenix is showing all the way up. 🔥

First RISE Roundtable of the year ✅!

Thank you to the 130+ families who joined us for our first RISE Roundtable of the school year. Your presence, questions, and partnership matter deeply as we prepare for a strong start together.

Our RISE Roundtables are designed to keep families informed, engaged, and connected to what’s happening at . They are a space for transparency, shared data, and ongoing conversation about the experiences and outcomes of our scholars.

At this roundtable, we shared a look at our mission, vision, and key pillars, celebrated strong academic growth from last school year, reviewed important school operations and procedures, and answered family questions about transportation, orientation, schedules, student supports, and what to expect as we begin the new school year.

We’re grateful to be in community with you and look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year.
