Back to school, already? Summer was so sweet, but we are ready to welcome a new school year!

Let’s talk all things drop off!

The tears at drop off? The extra clinginess? The “I don’t want to go!”? Totally normal. Especially for toddlers who are adjusting to new routines, new teachers, and big feelings.

A few things that can help:

🤍 Prep before you leave: Talk about school while getting dressed, pack their bag together, and remind them what to expect.

🤍 Keep your goodbye short & confident: A big emotional goodbye can make the transition harder. Try, “I love you! You’re safe, and I’ll see you after school!”

🤍 Stay calm: Your little one takes cues from you. Even if you’re emotional inside, a calm and confident goodbye helps them feel secure.

🤍 Trust their teachers: It’s okay if they cry. Teachers are there to comfort, reassure, and help them transition into their day.

And parents… it’s okay if YOU need a minute in the parking lot, too. 🥹
