We had a wonderful time supporting the fight against childhood cancer at the St. Jude Walk to End Childhood Cancer - Los Angeles! Our next meeting is Monday, October 10th at 7pm in Talbot East 113! Come out and together let's !

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of La Mirada Relay for Life this past month!! We have surpassed our fundraising goals and hope to fundraise much more this upcoming year to support the fight against cancer! Whether it was a donation, relaying, or spreading awareness, you have all made a HUGE difference in supporting someone affected by cancer.

Thank you Carol for sharing your testimony of God's grace over your life. Carol is a APL survivor, one of only two during her time when a cure was discovered two years prior to her diagnosis. We fight for a cure and support funds towards cancer research so that this world can be filled with more survivors just like Carol.

Can you believe it's already the end of the semester? Come join us for our last mtg for the spring semester at 7pm in Marshburn 4 tomorrow! We will have the mom of our very own club member, Jonathan Linden, come share about her courageous journey as cancer survivor. Hello friends! Come support Relay For Life by purchasing a $5 luminaria at the fountain! All luminarias are in dedication to a loved one who has battled or is currently fighting cancer. All proceeds go directly to American Cancer Society. 😊

Our wonderful Fight Back leader, Hayoung Kim, shared about the importance of getting screened for colorectal cancer especially if you're 50+ years old. Now is the time to share with all our friends and family to get a colonoscopy done as there is a 90% survival rate if the cancer is detected in the early stages. Who knew popping colon polyps (AKA St. Patrick's Day balloons) away could be so fun?
