Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our fallen classmate Vicky Barrón. Vicky’s husband, Juan Rangel, is also one of our classmates & shared the news of her passing earlier this week. May she rest in eternal peace 🙏🏻❤️

🐾 20 years seems like just yesterday!

This weekend many of us went back in time to celebrate our “Dear Old La Joya High” at our 20 Year Reunion! We made new memories and reminisced about our old ones. It was great seeing everyone and laughing about the good ‘ole’ days! No matter where we go throughout this world, the La Joya High School Class of 2002 we will forever be. 🐾

🎟 Tickets for the La Joya vs PSJA N Homecoming game are on sale on this posted site. Kick-off is set at 7:30 pm at La Joya ISD Stadium. Adult General Admission tickets are $7, and student tickets are $3. La Joya ISD has sectioned off an area for each reunion class on the Southside of the Reserved section on the Home Side. So, just look for us. 🙃 We hope this information helps. We’ll see y’all on Friday! 🏉

T-2 DAYS! 😱🥳

We are almost ready for our reunion THIS FRIDAY! Thank you to those who picked up their shirts! To those who haven’t, we will have them at the entrance to the party on Friday. We have nearly 100 people who have paid to attend! With that said, we have ONLY PLANNED FOR 100 PEOPLE (food, desserts, space, etc). If you have NOT PAID unfortunately you will NOT BE ALLOWED IN. We hate to turn anyone away, but the committee wants to be fair to everyone who did pay on time. We will have the final list of paid attendees at the door. Special thanks to our reunion committee for volunteering your time and patience for our event.. y’all are awesome 👏🏼 I will be posting the QR code to purchase your football tickets as well as details on seating later this afternoon/evening. We can’t wait to see all of you on Friday! Please help us spread the word!

📣 Hey Everyone! Here is the Schedule of Events for Thurs./Friday (finally)! Because of COVID, things have been modified & are a little different this year..

THURSDAY, 9/23
📍 HC PARADE- Parade will start at the LJISD Transportation Dept. Parking Lot (Northside of stadium) & will end on the East side of the LJHS gym. Estimated start time is 6:00 pm. Because we were notified last minute, we will NOT be participating in it this year 😔

📍 PEP RALLY/ BONFIRE - Pep Rally will follow parade on the East side of the LJHS gym. Bonfire will follow after that so long as it’s nightfall.

FRIDAY, 9/24
📍LJ vs PSJA North - Game will begin at 7:30 pm at LJISD Stadium. Everyone will be required to buy a game ticket to enter (I will post the link to purchase tickets tomorrow). Each class reunion will be sectioned off in order to all sit together. Parking is on the Northside of stadium. At HALTIME, all classes will be presented on the football field. Immediately after being presented we are free to go to the after party 😉

📍AFTER PARTY - Following Halftime we will all head to Excalibur Bar & Grill in Palmview (203 Palmview Dr.) to party. There will be a check-in at the entrance to make sure everything is fair. Dinner will be served around 9:30 pm and the comedy show will be begin around the same time. Following that, we will have a couple of fun activities and will be able to socialize. The bar will have both alcohol and liquor. Please wear your reunion shirt for both the game and after party.

I believe this covers everything (I hope). Stay tuned for the link to purchase tickets and any last minute details. The committee has been working together to make sure everyone enjoys themselves, so bring your “have fun & chill” attitude. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
