Words can be very powerful. Why not use them to lift someone up today rather than knock them down? Join us for an evening of powerful words from UCSD students sharing their personal stories about the power of words in our campus community.

This special event will take place on Thursday, April 16 from 2-4PM in the Muir Quad.

"You Guys" when referring to a mixed-gender group of people, or even a group of women?
"Minorities" when referring to people of color or other underrepresented groups of people?
"Disabled Person" or "handicapped" when referring to a person with a disability?
"Illegal Aliens" when referring to Undocumented Immigrants?
Not At Muir is an Inclusive Language campaign at John Muir College, UC San Diego. The intent of this campaign is to raise awareness among the community members at Muir College about the use of Equity Minded Language rather than words or phrases that may be unintentionally offensive to members of our community.
