The San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation is looking for officials to volunteer their time to participate as referees for an upcoming special event. The event is a 3-on-3 Wheelchair Basketball Paralympic Experience, which will be held at the Municipal Gym in Balboa Park on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The tournament will be an all day event. They are hoping to get individuals who are willing to volunteer their time for a good cause and the opportunity to learn a new sport. As volunteer officials, you will be provided with food, beverages, a t-shirt, and wheelchair basketball training. The training will be lead by the Officials Assigner for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA).

On Sunday, December 11th at Balboa Park, the San Diego community will have the opportunity to cheer on up to 36 teams of wheelchair and able-bodied athletes as they all compete in wheel chairs in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
