Hey Runners, Walkers, Students, Parents & Sponsors!
Thank you for supporting the LGHS Mighty Leopard Band 5K Twilight Trail Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser.
I hope you are excited about the fun trail route we have planned for you! Be sure to wear closed toe shoes & bring a flash light or head lamp.
DIRECTIONS: If you are coming from La Grange take Hwy 77 N towards Giddings. Turn Right on FM 2145, just past St Marks. Luther Hill is approx 6mi from Hwy 77. It will be on the right. You will see an entrance that says Luther Hill.
PARKING: You will be directed to park in the Parking Area by the Main Dining Hall.
TIMELINE: Packet Pick up 4-5pm (Please arrive no later than 4:45pm to allow for parking & getting up the hill.)
5:10-5:20pm Race Announcements/Instructions
5:27pm Sunset
5:30pm RACE START (By the Basketball Court on the hill-Restrooms will be available)
(This event is NOT TIMED, so please be careful on the loose gravel & trails)
Attached is the 5K Route Map of Luther Hill. The paths/trails will be marked with orange marking tape, orange cones, arrow signs & glow sticks. Please stay to the marked path and stay in a group of at least two.
After Party will be at the Main Dining Hall (outside-This is also the finish area):
Be sure to enjoy some fresh fruit/bottled water. DJ-Lathan Staal will be there providing us with music. Raffle drawings to be held when all participants cross the finish line.
S’mores Kits will be provided for you to visit around the fire pit at Camp Luther Hill.
RACE will be RAIN OR SHINE except for Extreme Weather conditions. Sorry NO REFUNDS as this is a FUNDRAISER for the LGHS Band. Again we thank you for your support and look forward to showing you an amazing time!
RACE DAY SIGN-UP: If you have anyone that wants to come along to do the event Race Day sign up will be available. (T-Shirts & Draw String Back Packs are still available) Online registration closes at midnight tonight.
VOLUNTEERS: The Fun Run is still in need of Volunteers. If you have someone that is able to volunteer please text Verinda at 979.966.2730. Volunteers needed for Race Setting up-breaking all the glow sticks to light the way-200 of them! Water Stop #1 & Water Stop #2, After Party & S'Mores Station. Parking. Our Volunteers will also get an event T-shirt and partake in the fun!
