This morning, we celebrated 13 amazing Buckner Bears who participated in our Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge! 🐻📖 These students logged their reading minutes and completed a fun Bingo card filled with reading activities all summer long! ☀️📚 As a special reward, they earned a Library Trading Card and chose a fun poster! 🃏✨ We are so proud of these dedicated readers! Way to go, Bears! 🐻❤️

This week, our kindergarten classes visited Buckner’s library for the very first time and learned how to be great library users. We read A Book Is Like a Baby and learned all about taking good care of our books. 📖❤️ Then came the best part—they checked out their very first library book! 🎉 We are so excited to watch our youngest Bears grow into lifelong readers! 🐻📚

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an AAC Storytime at the Oldham County Public Library! AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Storytime is a welcoming opportunity for children and families to enjoy stories, build communication skills, and connect with others.

These 4th grade STEM engineers are enjoying some “tinker time.” We have been exploring growth mindset and collaboration. When a problem occurred, one of these students was overheard saying, “We can use the engineering design process to solve complex problems.” (Mrs. Williams’ teacher heart may have bubbled over). ♥️
