Central will be closed tomorrow, due to water damage. Thank you!

Central High School will be closed to students tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, due to water damage from a burst pipe over the weekend.

The pipe burst in a water closet on the third floor, causing water damage to classrooms on the third, second, and first floors, as well as the school’s main office.

Cleanup efforts are already underway and will continue throughout tomorrow. Closing the school gives crews the time and access they need to clean the affected areas and continue assessing the building.

Students involved in cocurricular activities should watch for updates from their coaches, advisors, or activity leaders about tomorrow’s activities.

We are hopeful that Central High School will be ready to welcome students back on Wednesday, September 9. We will provide an update about Wednesday’s schedule as soon as we know more.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get Central back in shape and ready for students and staff.

🍎 The ultimate crunch has arrived in our cafeterias!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that the School District of La Crosse is serving fresh, locally grown Honeycrisp apples straight from Ecker's Apple Farm!

Known for being sweet, juicy, and famously crisp, these premium hometown favorites are a massive hit on our students' lunch trays.

We are proud to support our neighborhood farmers, and give our kids the very best nutrition Wisconsin has to offer.
