The St. Landry Parish School Board is accepting applications for membership on the Special Education Advisory Council.

This council will meet three (3) times per year to provide advice and recommendations regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources. The council will also engage in outreach activities to the community at large to increase the level of knowledge, support, and collaboration with respect to special education.

It has truly taken me some time to process and gather my thoughts on what to say, and try not to write a book 😭 I’ve spent the last 14 years at KSE. It has been my home. I have worked with so many wonderful teachers, staff, mentors, parents, families, and community members. But the greatest blessings are the students that crossed my path. I will forever be grateful for all of those babies that have made me better. I’ve grown so much in those 14 years, and have so many memories. Gosh, the stories I could tell.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone in the KS community who accepted me as their teacher, their leader, protector of their littles, and most importantly, their friend. Thank you to my teachers and staff who allowed me to lead, saw my vision, and worked tirelessly to educate, nuture, build, and love the students of KSE.

It is my goal to bring that same spirit, that same leadership to the phenomenal staff at PBE. I already know that like KSE, PBE is filled with dedicated and caring admin, teachers, and staff. I have no doubt that this will be an easy transition 🧡💙❤️🖤

May our KSE memories live on forever and we still talk about the good times we had for many years to come.
