This is for postpartum moms who are struggling to leave the home 🏠

When I was freshly postpartum, my PPA made leaving the house a daunting task

So here’s the advice I would’ve given myself to make that first outing out just a little bit more manageable

Treat it like a trip - create a packing list. Start thinking about it a couple of days in advance and start building the list of what you’ll need

✅ 2–3 diapers
âś… 2 bottles
âś… Formula
âś… Water for formula
âś… 1 change of clothes
âś… Fan
âś… Wipes
âś… Burp cloth
âś… Pacifier
âś… Car seat installed & double-checked

I recommend using the ring sling or a newborn buckle carrier because bringing the stretchy wrap out is a lot of fabric and steps to deal with when out and about

I would also recommend practicing using your car seat and maybe even calling Bubble Seat Co. 🫧 Knoxville’s CPST Car Seat Cleaner for installation support

Give yourself more time than you think you need to get to that appointment. You have a new body now - new wounds and scars. So give yourself the time and space to move slowly.

I personally haven’t used hip seats as much as ring slings. The only brand I’ve heard of with a quality and thoughtful build is Tushbaby

I’ve heard that weight distribution is a lot more comfortable for parents because baby’s weight sits more in the hips because of the seat
