Troubled To Trained - All dogs need a leader they can trust

Citana graduates today with an A+. She just completed a board and train program and learned how to be completely off leash. She learned that even with distractions, she needs to listen to me and follow directions. Working with a husky can be a challenge, but with the right approach, you can achieve success.

I’m working with a dog named Gunner and teaching him to not be aggressive over food. Gunner has bitten people before and attacked other dogs over food. He is learning that he cannot be aggressive anymore for anything. Especially food or valuable resources.

Day 5 of Citana’s off leash training. Citana has come so far in just five training days. She is starting to respond to her recall and do great being completely off leash. Citana is a husky breed and they can be very stubborn but with the right training method applied, they can achieve success.

I’m doing a training session with Citana and I’m working on teaching her to have good manners. She has a bad habit of jumping up on people when she gets excited. In order to overcome bad manners, you have to correct the unwanted behavior and promote the good behavior. That’s what I’m working on in this video. She is also learning to be completely off leash while responding to commands with distractions. She’s doing very good for just day three
