The undergraduate dairy students are excited for another year of spreading information about dairy and fundraising through milkshake and coffee sales to fund this school year's farm visits, educational meetings and opportunities, and travel to regional and national competitions. This week is September's Webinar Wednesday!

Dr. Stephanie Ward, North Carolina State University Associate Professor and Extension Dairy Specialist, will be discussing some of the research she and her team have performed on weaning strategies and systems with beef on dairy calves, on September 9, 2026, from 12pm to 1pm ET. A recording will be made available after the meeting.

A new professional development opportunity from the Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiative (SDBII) is Now Open!

SDBII funds will be available to defray the cost of registration up to $1,325, and up to $1,500 available for flights, lodging, and parking for selected participants. Total awards will not exceed $2,825. Mileage and other ground transportation costs are not reimbursable.

This is a competitive application process; applications will be evaluated and scored based on completeness and demonstration of potential impact. Applications are due by 11:59 PM ET on October 16, 2026.

This year's programming includes two optional pre-conference workshops and a plant tour of Broadacre Dairy (Weigel's)!
