I love the new tradition of the Enlist 865 Luncheon- Today Knox County Schools recognized students who have answered the call to military service. What an incredible group of young people! Their willingness to serve our country speaks volumes about their character, leadership, and commitment to something greater than themselves. I’m so thankful for each of these young people and the sacrifices they are willing to make in service to others.

Congratulations to all of our Enlist 865 honorees — I am proud of you and so grateful for your commitment to serve! And especially proud of this group of SDH students 🇺🇸

South Knoxville… THANK YOU for allowing me to serve as your school board member. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime.

I am so thankful for my family, friends, and supporters who rallied beside me every step of the way. I am incredibly proud of our campaign — we kept it clean, led with kindness, and treated people with respect (when a job application requires me to do otherwise that job is NOT for me! ). THANK YOU to Angie Hopkins Bush-the most amazing treasurer and friend on the planet. Everyone should be blessed enough to have an Angie in their life!

Most of all, I am proud of the work we accomplished over the past seven years for our students, staff, and schools. Together, we made meaningful progress and always kept kids at the center of the conversation.

Today, I choose joy, gratitude, and peace. I sincerely wish only the best for the next 9th District School Board Representative and for the future of our community.

God always has a plan. ❤️
