We are both proud and THRILLED for UTK’s 2024-2025 Fulbright to Brazil, Madison Lackey, as she prepares for start her 9-month term teaching English at Brazil’s Universidade Federal de Mari Grosso do Sul Letras. Upon return, Lackey will resume her Master of Public Policy and Administration at UT’s Baker School and bring her international experience into studies and research.

Every summer, new and continuing UT undergraduate researchers get paid to assist with short-term opportunities here at UT and across the country through Research Experienced for Undergraduates (REUs). Summer REUs are for everyone, regardless of experience, and they aren’t just for STEM majors.
With most deadlines coming up in January and February, the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships is offering advising, writing support, and workshops for students searching and applying for summer REUs.

That’s why we’re offering a workshop Thursday, August 31st, from 5-6pm at the Mary Greer Room (Hodges Library, Room 258) to help you map out what can be next and how it can propel you forward into your professional or academic aspirations.
