Summer Learning Camp has been full of learning, fun, and excitement at DES! We can’t wait to see what other fun our students will have in the weeks ahead! Thank you to Mrs. Haynes and our amazing group of teachers and assistants for pouring into our students during the month of June!

We are so thankful for Convergint Technologies and their partnership today! Convergint Day was a great success, very much appreciated, and has made a huge difference for our campus! Convergint employees, students, and members of our PTO took time out of their day to install speed bumps for our students to safely cross to the playground, mulched and took out weeds in all of our landscaping, pressure washed our front pavilion, cleaned up trash, removed brush and debris from the playground, moved our outdoor speaker hookup to a more centralized location, and other minor projects throughout the campus! Thank you for choosing Dandridge Elementary for your Convirgent Day event!

It was an afternoon celebrating three exceptional educators at DES! They have left a lasting impact on Dandridge, our students, families, and staff. You will be missed Mr. Tracy, Mrs. Lewis, and Mrs. Strange! Thank you for your many years of service to Jefferson County Schools and Dandridge Elementary!

Dandridge Police Department continues to build those positive relationships with our staff and students with a fun time showing up to the 4th grade end of year block party. Thank you Dandridge Police Department for supporting our school community and being a fixture in our greater Dandridge community!

On Tuesday, May 19th at 9:00 AM, we will hold an End of the Year program for our kindergarten students in the cafeteria. All parents and relatives are invited to attend. The 5th grade honors program will take place at 9:o0 AM on Wednesday, May 20th in the cafeteria and we invite all parents and relatives to attend.

The final day of school for this school year will be Friday, May 22nd. We will be giving out grade cards and this day will be a half day/early dismissal for students. Students may come to school to pick up their grade cards. Buses will be running at regular time in the morning and then will also deliver students back home after dismissal. We expect buses to leave around 9:45 from DES. If for some reason you cannot pick up your student’s grade card on the 22nd, the office will be open from 8:00 – 2:00 from May 26th – June 5th.

Once again, thank you for partnering with us in your student’s education and we look forward to seeing your child each day. We’ve had a great year and we appreciate our partnerships with our parents. We hope everyone has a great evening and we appreciate your support of Dandridge Elementary.

This is one of the things that makes DES such a special place not only were our students excited to compete against the police department but they were equally as excited to be a part of our field day! When schools and communities partner together everyone wins! Thanks for supporting our school and our students!

Our senior walk was a great success At DES! It is always so special to have our Cubs return where their education started as the celebrate the end of this chapter with Jefferson County Schools. Congratulations to our Cub graduates and all the graduates of JCHS! Go make us proud!

We have a few familiar faces that we are sad to see go but so happy for them as they begin their retirement! Congratulations to Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Strange, and Mr. Tracy. You have all made a lasting impact on Dandridge Elementary and Jefferson County Schools! Thank you for your years of service to our school!
