25th Class reunion, JCHS Class of 95/96. "Better Together in 2021"

Just so everyone on this page knows, there is a class reunion for all who went to JCHS in the 1990s. See Classes of the 90s reunion for all the information.

I have been thinking long and hard about the reunion situation. I have had people with all different opinions contact me concerning it.

Some people are 100 percent lets have it.
Some people have said they are uncomfortable coming to it.
Some say wait till next year.

Its now almost August, school is starting and the holiday season will be here before you know it.

I have spoken with several people who do event planning and frequent event goers. They have said that events have been very unpredictable in all aspects.

So with that I am not planning anything for this year. If someone else is interested in taking over thats fine.

We have had some talks of the potential of combining next year with the class of 97. Sorry to disappoint anyone.

Please give me some feedback below.

So I put reunion planning on hold for a while. Now I need some feedback.

Should we attempt a reunion this year or wait till next year and maybe combine 95-97?

Infectious diseases have kinda made the last 2 years a major bummer. I know things are hopefully looking towards the bright side but definitely not over.

I personally have lost multiple friends both old and young to Covid. I have a hard time wanting to risk or take responsibility in getting everyone together.

What do you all think?

So I have determined even attempting to plan a reunion during a pandemic is tough. It is very hard to figure out what to do. I have truthfully done very little since things are so uncertain.

The 2 main things to decide currently are:

1. We need to decide what month to consider. Should we wait as late in the year as possible in hopes things will get better?

2. What type of venue? Does anyone have a hookup? Do we want a outdoor venue that we can be more spread out?

With our 20 year reunion I already had venue reserved and was sending out invites at this point. The dates usually fill up a year ahead of time.

Please give me some input on what you think should be done.

Now that we are thinking of combining our classes, I need to know what month everyone would like the reunion?

We have a lot of things to narrow down before we can start planning this reunion. Currently we only have about 76 people on this page with the combined classes it was around 800 people that graduated. Please share and invite friends so we can the word out.

I would really love to utilize the locations or services of people from our classes. Basically does anyone have any hookups for venues, printing services, catering etc?

We need to start getting venue ideas so quotes can be obtained.

I have been contacted by several people saying they would love to attend our reunions but in the past they have basically been priced out of that being possible. I would really like for anyone that wants to be a part of it to be able to.On the other hand it's also nice to have a great event that's memorable.

I am not sure what is the best way for this to happen. I welcome everyone's input.

We did surveys on several pages and the majority agreed that a 95/96 reunion would be good in 2021. This is the info page. Please help in getting as many of our 95/96 classmates on this page to keep updated.
