Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorported ® Chi Rho Omega Chapter was the 119th graduate chapter chartered in the Marvelous Mid-Atlantic Region on August 28, 2004. We are proud to celebrate ten years of dedicated service to the residents of Knightdale, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell and Zebulon. Our award winning chapter prides itself on demonstrated excellence. Our chapter is the home of over 80

members actively engaged in working with the community to implement programs tailored to provide Global Leadership through Timeless Service. We faithfully reach out and collaborate with the community to identify and address areas of concern locally, nationally and globally that align with our National Program initiatives: Emerging Young Leaders, Health, Economic Security, Global Poverty, Social Justice & Human Rights and Internal Leadership for External Service.

✨ 22 years steeped in service. 22 years steeped in sisterhood. 22 years steeped in legacy. 💕💚

Today, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Chi Rho Omega Chapter gathered for Steeped in Legacy, a beautiful celebration of the vision that began 22 years ago, and the legacy we continue to build today.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Mariah Walker, whose inspiring keynote challenged us to reflect on the legacy we are actively creating for those who will come behind us. With the wonderful Samantha Lampkin serving as our emcee, the afternoon was filled with joy, reflection, connection, and celebration.

Twenty-two years later, our story can be seen in the communities we’ve served, the lives we’ve touched, the relationships we’ve built, and the generations of women who continue to carry this work forward. And while we are incredibly proud of what has been built, legacy is not simply what we leave behind, it is what we pour into others while we are here. 🫖✨

Today, we raised our teacups to 22 remarkable years, and to the many chapters of service, sisterhood, scholarship, and impact still waiting to be written.

Here’s to remaining Steeped in Legacy for generations to come. ☕️🩷💚
