Could you be the next Teddy Bear Press owner? After nearly 26 years of owning and operating Teddy Bear Press, Fran Parker is retiring. She will continue to offer the Teddy Bear Press books and materials during this transition. If you are interested in applying for ownership of a rewarding business, please contact Fran at [email protected]. Wishing you and your students much reading success!
This is a new banner that was created for Teddy Bear Press to be placed in the 2018 School Folders at an Elementary School near me. It was fun to work with this designer as he captured the essence of Teddy Bear Press so quickly.

Dr Seuss was my inspiration for creating the easy to read books in the I Can Read and Reading is Fun programs.
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss.
Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 to September 24, 1991), better known by his pen name Dr. Seuss, was a writer and cartoonist who published over 60 books. He published his first children's book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, under the name of Dr. Seuss in 1937. Next came a string of best sellers, including The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. His rhymes and characters are beloved by generations.
Dr. Seuss was planning on being a professor before he became a children's book author.
Houghton Mifflin and Random House asked Dr. Seuss to write a children's primer using 220 vocabulary words. The resulting book, 'The Cat in the Hat,' was published in 1957.
