Community Action Partnership of Northeast Missouri Head Start

The City of Kirksville presented a check CAPNEMO to support our efforts to expand childcare services in the community.

Through a grant from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, CAPNEMO plans to renovate the former preschool it owns on Locust Street. This project will create additional infant and toddler daycare slots, addressing a critical need for more childcare options.

All CAPNEMO Head Start and Early Head Start centers will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

The 2026-2027 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Please reach out to your Family Advocate if you have any questions.
