“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him” (1 John 2:4).

Do you think that verse really means what it says? I do.

Those who teach that it is not necessary to keep the Commandments of God, ALL OF THEM, including the 4th Commandment, the Bible calls LIARS.

Some Christians go so far as to say that the Commandments were nailed to the Cross when Jesus died and it's not necessary to keep them today. They are LIARS.

Some Christians say that the 4th Commandment ~ "Remember the Sabbath day (the 7th day, Saturday) to keep it holy..." no longer means we should worship on the 7th day Saturday, but rather on the first day, Sunday. That too, is a LIE, even though many who promote that don't realize they are promoting a LIE.

God speaks in clear language on this. There is no reason to misunderstand what He is saying. Yes, it will put you out of step with the world, it will put you in the MINORITY, it may be inconvenient, you might have to find a new job, your family and friends might think you are radical and fanatical. All of those things and more could happen if you decide to be brave and follow God, and be obedient to Him. But it will be SO WORTH IT! You will have PEACE, knowing you are WALKING IN THE LIGHT, knowing that God doesn't ask you to do something you cannot do. Your conscience won't prick you anymore and you won't feel guilty for not obeying the God you claim to serve.

Many people want the CROWN Jesus offers, but few are willing to carry the CROSS. Obeying the 4th Commandment may seem like a heavy CROSS, but Jesus has promised to help you carry it ~ He tells us in Matthew 11:30 ~ "For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

TODAY is FRIDAY, the 6th Day. The Bible calls it the PREPARATION DAY. It's the day we are called to PREPARE for the Sabbath. Our cleaning, our cooking and all our work is to be done today so that TOMORROW, SATURDAY, the SABBATH, we have no unnecessary work to do. The Sabbath should be spent in fellowship with like-believers, studying God's Word, and in Nature, His second Book.

I know for many, this sounds so strange, almost like another language. But Jesus says, "TASTE and SEE that the LORD is GOOD." Following Him will bring REAL PEACE & HAPPINESS to your life.

Most Christians believe this very false and terrible teaching...so I'm sure it's going to be upsetting to some, when they realize what they have been taught is "STRAIGHT FROM HELL." Sometimes in order to make a point, you have to take the point to the extreme, before people get the point you are trying to make.

What we wear, reveals to the world, the condition of our heart.
Al & I were rather shocked this week as we were hiking up one of The Smokey Mountain trails, to meet a man roughly 50 years old, coming down the mountain, dressed very similar to the man in this picture, except this guy looks like he's fooling around, the guy we met, wasn't wearing it to be funny and make people laugh. He was wearing it because that was HIM.

I don't know of any normal woman who wouldn't be creeped out if she were to meet a man alone on a lonely mountain trail, dressed like the guy we met.

What we wear speaks VOLUMES about where our heart and our mind is at.

If we wear clothes that are obviously very expensive and showy, we are telling the world that we are very wealthy.

If we wear clothes that are seductive and immodest, we are telling the world that we are ADVERTISING and that we don't have much SELF-RESPECT.

If we wear clothes and contraptions like this man, we are telling the world that our MIND IS IN THE GUTTER, and that LOW, PERVERTED SEXUAL THOUGHTS is what we dwell on.

The clothes we wear are a REVEALER of our hearts & minds.

As Christians, we should always ask ourselves ~ “Am I giving a right representation of Christianity by the close I am wearing?”
Our clothes should reflect that we are HAPPY, ORGANIZED, MODEST and PRACTICAL.

• People who wear DARK CLOTHES all the time, are not typically HAPPY people. That doesn’t mean we should wear FLAMBOYANT clothes, not at all. As Christians, we shouldn’t wear clothes that attract people to US. Our clothes should REFLECT our relationship with Jesus.
• Our clothes should complement each other ~ We shouldn’t wear a striped shirt with plaid pants. That reveals disorganized thoughts.
• Modesty should be paramount. Christians will never wear immodest clothes that cause others to think sinful thoughts by looking at them.
• Our clothes should be practical for whatever the occasion is that we are attending, whether it be Church, School, Work, a Race, Cleaning the Barn, Climbing a Tree, a Wedding, etc. We should wear clothes that are PRACTICAL and that show RESPECT for the Occasion.

Yes, it’s important WHAT we wear. FIRST IMPRESSIONS mean a lot, a whole lot.

As we get closer and closer to the 2nd Coming of Jesus, there are going to be more and more "WARS & RUMORS of WARS". The LAST BIG WAR ~ ARMAGEDDON ~ will take place RIGHT BEFORE JESUS RETURNS. The two sides in that war will be:

1. Those Christians who would rather DIE THAN DISOBEY God
AND
2. The REST of the World, which will include many Apostate Christians who thinks it's not so important to OBEY God in EVERYTHING.

It's going to go down in history as the largest RELIGIOUS WAR of ALL TIME.

By the time the WAR gets here, the TWO SIDES will be made up. No one will be changing sides. Probation will be closed.

NOW is the TIME to change sides if you are on the side that thinks it's NOT so IMPORTANT to OBEY God in EVERYTHING!

If you are on the side that thinks worshiping IMAGES is acceptable to God, you are on the WRONG side.

If you are on the side who thinks it doesn't really matter to swear and take God's name in vain, you are on the WRONG side.

If you stand with those who teach that Sunday or Friday or Monday or any other day is acceptable as the SABBATH, you are on the WRONG side.

If you DISRESPECT your parents and those in lawful authority, you are on the WRONG side.

If you believe there are times when MURDER is acceptable, you are on the WRONG side. (MURDER & KILLING are not the same. David KILLED 1000's, he MURDERED ONE.)

If you think it's OK to cheat on your wife, to view po*******hy and make excuse for sexual sin, you are on the WRONG side.

If you are careful to only steal when you think no one is looking or no one will find out, you are on the WRONG side.

If you think it's OK to LIE to protect yourself, you are on the WRONG side.

If in your heart, you WANT what other people have, and are not happy until you get it, you are on the WRONG side.

PROBATION IS STILL OPEN! Don't delay! God can and will help us OVERCOME ALL our sinful traits of character, and give us a new heart, if we will only ask Him! Without that NEW HEART, you an NEVER OVERCOME...but with it ~ ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

Have you ever wondered if the Bible speaks about whether or not CREMATION is a good way to dispose of the body after someone dies?

Al and I have been reading about King Saul in the Bible and we were reading the last story of his life, where he was killed in a battle with the Philistines. This is what the Bible says ~

"The next day, when the Philistines went out to strip the dead, they found the bodies of Saul and his three sons on Mount Gilboa. So they cut off Saul’s head and stripped off his armor. Then they proclaimed the good news of Saul’s death in their pagan temple and to the people throughout the land of Philistia. They placed his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths, and they fastened his body to the wall of the city of Beth-shan. But when the people of Jabesh-gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, all their mighty warriors traveled through the night to Beth-shan and took the bodies of Saul and his sons down from the wall. They brought them to Jabesh, WHERE THEY BURNED THE BODIES. THEN THEY TOOK THEIR BONES AND BURIED THEM BENEATH THE TAMARISK TREE at Jabesh, and they fasted for seven days." 1 Samuel 31:8-13.

These brave men came by night and removed the bodies of Saul and his three sons who had been killed and were hung in the temple of the heathen gods of the Philistines, and they carried them back to Jabesh, and gave them an honorable burial, by burning their bodies and then they buried their bones.
I've always thought that CREMATION was a good thing...and now I see the Bible says it is, too.

Why spend all that extra $$$ for a casket that isn't going to stop you from decaying anyways? And when you are dead, you feel no pain. You are just SLEEPING, the Bible says 🙂. And Jesus will give us NEW bodies when He returns. It won't matter if you are at the bottom of the ocean or in a casket or all burned up...He will give you back a BEAUTIFUL GLORIFIED, HEALTHY and WHOLE BODY! PRAISE GOD!!!

Last night we read the Bible story of why Moses was not permitted to walk the Israelite's into the Land of Canaan. It was a very sad story. Moses had put up and been patient with the Israelite's for 40 years, and then on the very border of Canaan, he lost his patience with them, and for that sin of losing his patience, he was not permitted to see them over the Border, into the Land of Promise.

The Bible says, ~ "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and SPEAK ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he SMOTE the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also." Numbers 20:7-11.

Such a powerful story with such IMPORTANT lessons! I'm quite certain that most of us do not see SIN as the AWFUL thing it is. Most of us, had we been in Moses' shoes, we would have been bitter and angry with God, for not overlooking that ONE SIN of IMPATIENCE, and stopping us from leading the people into the Promised Land.

Most of us don't realize that being IMPATIENT is such a bad sin. For some, being IMPATIENT is a way of life. They are IMPATIENT about nearly EVERYTHING! They might be very good people in other respects but that ONE SIN, if not overcome before Jesus returns, will keep them out of Heaven, just as Moses' impatiences kept him out of the Land of Canaan.

We cannot overcome sin on our own, it's impossible. But WITH GOD'S HELP, we can overcome ALL SIN. That my Friend, is what Jesus is waiting for! That's why He hasn't returned! He's waiting for His people to get ready! When they are ready, He's coming! And just like at the Flood, and at S***m & Gomorrah, there won't be very many ready. How many made it into the Ark? ONLY 8 people. How many escaped S***m & Gomorrah? Just 3, well 4, if you count Lot's wife who turned to a PILLAR of SALT because even though she left physically, her heart was still there...

The world doesn't need to get any worse! It's bad enough! All Jesus is waiting for is for a people who REFLECT His character, and He will come to take us HOME!

This is yet another example of why MOST Pastors/Priests are part of the PROBLEM and not the SOLUTION. MOST spiritual leaders teach very little about REPENTANCE and TURNING FROM SIN, or even WHAT SIN IS, for that matter. They teach alot about FORGIVENESS & GRACE. But that's only HALF the story! And telling people only HALF the story is really telling them a LIE. MOST spiritual leaders don't believe that it's NECESSARY to stop sinning, in fact, most of them will tell you that it's IMPOSSIBLE to stop sinning.

But what did Jesus say to the woman He had healed in John 8:11? ~ "GO, AND SIN NO MORE." Jesus NEVER asks us to do something that we cannot do. Whatever He asks us to do, He will enable us to do, if we cooperate with Him. I know this is a NEW & FOREIGN thought to many of you....don't be afraid of it! Rejoice and be happy that God wants to give you VICTORY over sin, and that you don't need to remain a SLAVE to SIN any longer! PRAISE GOD!

Back to Moses, he earnestly and deeply repented of his impatiences and God willingly forgave him, even though the punishment was not removed. Moses was 120 years old, and God laid him down to die, buried him, and a short time later, He resurrected him and took him to Heaven, where he is now, waiting for us all to join him. Remember, Moses and Elijah (who was also taken to Heaven in a fiery chariot of horses) were the two talking with Jesus at the TRANSFIGURATION. (See Matthew 17; Mark 9; and Luke 9.) Thank God that when we repent of our sins, Jesus forgives us...and He will welcome us into Heaven when He comes!

Be careful what you wish for when you are depressed or angry. God might just give it to you!

"The people of Israel spoke against Moses and Aaron. The whole community said to them, "We wish we had died in Egypt or even in this desert." Numbers 14:2.

They got EXACTLY what they asked for. Every person over the age of 20, excepting Joshua & Caleb, all died in the desert. They never made it to Canaan.

When you get depressed or angry, the best thing is to keep your mouth shut. And it's best to take it one step further.... God reads our thoughts....so don't even THINK thoughts that you really wouldn't want God to make happen!
