With the new year I will be teaching an online course once each week. Elementary theoretical physics is the basis for a book I am writing. This will be held via Skype (look for georgehrab) at 2 PM Central Time on the first Saturday of each month. You can check on Meetup for last minute schedule changes. The second and third weeks will be on relativity. The last week will be free-form research where we can discuss the interests of members. I will post the lectures on the MAST website after they have been edited for content and such.

Madison Area Science and Technology (MAST) 31 December 2017: Began uploading the Classical Mechanics Lecture Series, Added to the Quantum Mechanics Series. And Added to the Gravitational Theory Series.
On Saturday 13 January, MAST will be holding an online talk, "More Theoretical Minimum" where we will discuss vectors and some ideas of calculus necessary to understand physics, and if time permits we will get into some problems of mechanics.
On 6 January at 2 PM Central Time I will be hosting a meeting to discuss the mathematics of relativity. It will run for 2 hours. Those who wish to attend via Skype may do so by contacting me, look for georgehrab.
Saturday 16 September 2017 at 2 PM Central Time, We will discuss the details of the mathematics and physics leading up to general relativity. For those who cannot attend in person, you can attend via Skype; look for georgehrab. This is the first in a series.
On Saturday, 22 July, We will discuss the idea of doing a deep dive into a new formulation of quantum mechanics from Gerard t'Hooft, , offering an exciting (and/or possibly lunatic) opportunity for ground-floor contributions. The book is a free download from Springer ( http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319412849 ). Those who cannot attend in person may do so via Skype (look for georgehrab).

Beginning next Saturday at 2 PM we will start a study of quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics is the physics of small systems. It governs the behavior of matter and its interactions. We will begin a study of this subject. If you cannot make it in person you can participate via Skype, look for georgehrab.
This Saturday, beginning at 2 PM, we will discuss the use of vectors in physics and some of their basic principles. For those who cannot make it in person, you can attend via Skype, look for georgehrab.
