Renting Super G skis for your junior ski racer? Check them closely before you leave the shop you rent them from. This is not the kind of stuff you want to be renting.

What do you get when you have a local junior ski race and an industry on-snow demo in the same week? Oh, and somehow 25 pairs of skis morph into 38….That’s a late night in the ski tuning shop!

Thanks to a great customer, I actually got dinner tonight. 🎉🍕

Do you struggle sometimes to get the perfect coat of wax on your skis with a Swix wax roller?

Does your wax application look too thick or uneven?

Even if the wax in the pot looks fully melted, it could be that your roller is not fully up to temperature yet. You want the entire roller to be glossy on all sides, with no dry or opaque sections, (and stay that way) before using it to roll your skis.

Always do a quick roller spin and visual inspection before using your wax roller.

Also, using your wax roller in an unheated garage or other very cold area could affect application. Whenever possible do your wax application in an area that at least has some warmth in it (doesn’t have to be fully heated to 68+ degrees, but should not be “freezing cold”).
