Today, Priority Charter Schools pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who stepped forward. We will never forget the sacrifice, strength, and unity shown on that day. 🇺🇸

Today, PCS Killeen Secondary joins schools and communities around the world in recognizing World Su***de Prevention Day. Mental health matters, and sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply start a conversation. Check on a friend. Listen without judging. Be kind to someone who may be having a difficult day. And most importantly, never be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

We want every Commander to know people care about you and are ready to listen. Students who are struggling or concerned about a friend are encouraged to speak with a parent, teacher, counselor, administrator, coach, or another trusted adult. If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

💛 One conversation can make a difference.

💜💛 What a Great Week to Be a Commander! 💛💜

What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year at PCS Killeen Secondary! 🎉 We started the week on Monday with Convocation, coming together as a district and getting energized for the year ahead. From there, our teachers got right to work preparing their classrooms, planning, collaborating, and internalizing lessons to make sure we are ready to give our students a great start to the school year. 📚✏️

Of course, we had to make time for a little fun too! Our team headed to Spare Time for some much-needed team building. Between bowling 🎳, laser tag, good food 🍕, friendly competition, and LOTS of laughs, we had an absolute blast. By the time it was over, I think it is safe to say we ALL went home exhausted! 😂

We wrapped up an already great week with an amazing Meet the Teacher Night! It was wonderful to see so many of our students excited and motivated to return to school, parents smiling and maybe just a little relieved that school is starting again 😄, and our teachers genuinely excited to welcome their students back.

There was such great energy throughout the building, and it reminded us why we do what we do. We are ready for an amazing year at PCS Killeen Secondary!
