Welcome, Commanders!
Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we are excited to welcome our students back! School doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Free breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., and lunch will also be provided free of charge. The school day will end at 3:45 p.m. Parents and guardians, please review the attached traffic-flow map for the correct direction of travel during arrival and afternoon pickup. Following the designated route will help us keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. Please remember that Friday will be a half-day, and students will be released at 1:00 p.m. This early release will give our campus team time to reflect on the first few days of school, identify what is working well, make any necessary adjustments, and prepare for a successful week ahead. 💜💛 What a Great Week to Be a Commander! 💛💜

What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year at PCS Killeen Secondary! 🎉 We started the week on Monday with Convocation, coming together as a district and getting energized for the year ahead. From there, our teachers got right to work preparing their classrooms, planning, collaborating, and internalizing lessons to make sure we are ready to give our students a great start to the school year. 📚✏️

Of course, we had to make time for a little fun too! Our team headed to Spare Time for some much-needed team building. Between bowling 🎳, laser tag, good food 🍕, friendly competition, and LOTS of laughs, we had an absolute blast. By the time it was over, I think it is safe to say we ALL went home exhausted! 😂

We wrapped up an already great week with an amazing Meet the Teacher Night! It was wonderful to see so many of our students excited and motivated to return to school, parents smiling and maybe just a little relieved that school is starting again 😄, and our teachers genuinely excited to welcome their students back.

There was such great energy throughout the building, and it reminded us why we do what we do. We are ready for an amazing year at PCS Killeen Secondary!
